Volunteer Call!

Phin is looking for compassionate volunteers to support our Dance to Move program - dance classes for people living with Parkinson's. The role of the volunteer is to do the class with the participants, providing light support to folks who need an assist for sit-to-stand, someone nearby or on their arm for balance, or other support for the class.

Volunteers require:

  1. A sincere desire to help folks have a joyous and successful experience in the class
  2. Friendly and compassionate demeanour
  3. Recent Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector check (< 2 years)
  4. Two references

Fridays: 10am (Bedford Hwy at Kearney Lake Rd), 1:30pm (Robie St at Charles St).

Please send interest to Lisa Phinney Langley, Dance to Move Program Director: info@phin.ca or 902-292-9366.

Phin Performing Arts operates on the ancestral lands of Mi’kma’ki, in Kjipuktuk/Halifax. We are grateful to share these lands with the Mi’kmaw people.  We respect these lands and their original inhabitants, including the animals and people who have walked here before us, and aim to tread lightly on the earth out of respect for its future inhabitants.
